MORE INFORMATION ON TRENT
Trent was bred by a well known hunting kennel in Spain that breeds dogs to show all across Europe. He comes from a pedigree line and has not known hardship, but that doesn’t make him any less deserving of a home.
He was homed in Spain to a pet home as he didn’t quite make the grade for showing, but sadly is looking for a new home through no fault of his own. He is a fine example of a Podenco Ibicenco (Ibizan Hound) and is a very well balanced dog. He can still be a little aloof with strangers the first time he meets them but that is very common even in pedigree Ibizans and is often reflected in breed information that you can find online. He soon warms up and is comfortable and confident in most situations as he’s been very well socialised. He gets on well with other dogs of all breeds and has very few requirements in terms of a home as he is a versatile boy. He does need an active home though as he has been used to very long daily walks in the Spanish countryside. Whilst he has a good off switch and is happy to relax at home, that’s only if his physical and mental needs are being met. He walks well on the lead, is clean and non destructive in the home and happy to be left for a few hours. He’s a fantastic allrounder and would love another active dog to play with. Alternatively he could live as an only dog, but that would mean all of his social and exercise needs would fall to his adopters to meet.
Trent is neutered, vaccinated and is tested negative for all Mediterranean diseases. He is passported and available for adoption now.
