MORE INFORMATION ON SUERTE
We were contacted on social media by someone who had found Suerte straying and had been feeding her and given her shelter inside a Padel court. They had already managed to get her to a vet and had determined that she has Leishmania and they asked us to step in to help her.
She was already comfortable around them, and was happy to be stroked, have a harness and lead put on etc. so it was easy to get her to one of our rescue shelters. She has been there for a month or so now, and is doing really well. She is sociable with other dogs, enjoys playing with them and is also great with people. Really loving and affectionate and happy to get a fuss. She’s a really lovely allrounder who would thrive in many homes. We think she would be a great candidate for a family with children. She hasn’t been cat tested but this could be arranged. She has very few requirements other than a home where Leish is better understood. She is just moving to a foster home in Spain where they can better administer her medication, so we will be able to update shortly with how she has found that transition.
Suerte will be neutered, is vaccinated and tested negative for all Mediterranean diseases excluding Leish - as already stated she has tested positive and is receiving treatment. She is passported and available for adoption now..
