MORE INFORMATION ON RORY

Rory is now in foster in Spain as he was struggling in kennels at another association - rescues can be loud and lively places with all the dogs!

Rory is relaxed for his age and quiet in the home, he’s a little shy with people at first but does come round in time. He lives with all different dog types - age, sex, breed and gets on well with them, that being said we think he could also live as an only dog in a home where his needs are being met. He has access to different people that come into the home of all ages - including young children.

He does not bark in the home and does well with the resident cats, although he has access to outside space he does not need a garden as long as he has access to green spaces for regular walks.

Podenco puppies are very cute, but they need consistent training, patience and understanding especially through the adolescent phase where we find a lot of people tend to struggle. If you apply to adopt a podenco puppy, please ensure you have properly thought through the challenges you might face whilst they mature into a wonderful adult where you can then reap the rewards of your hard work. It is a wonderful experience to bring up a pod puppy, but it is not for the faint hearted!

Rory is vaccinated and will be tested for all Mediterranean diseases. He is passported and available for adoption now and will require neutering at the appropriate age.
