Sweet little podenco Luz was rescued in a really bad state with a chain round her neck, weeping eyes, sore teeth and itchy skin which was covered in fleas and dermatitis. On top of that she had two mammary tumours. One of our partner kennels took her in and got straight to work on getting her back to full health. She has made a wonderful transformation in a short space of time and is now a lot healthier and happier.

She is such a sweet girl - very calm in her nature and despite being in such a state due to neglect, is good with people. So good and gentle that we think she would do fine living with children as she just has the sweetest nature. She takes everything in her stride and as a result has very few requirements - she’d be happy in most homes - just needs someone to give her a chance to enjoy life after so many years as a hunters dog. She can live in the city or the countryside, and would cope just fine without a garden. She is great with other dogs big and small, but would be equally happy as an only dog.

Her tumours have been removed and was benign so there is no follow up needed there.

Luz is neutered, vaccinated and tested negative for all Mediterranean diseases. She is passported and available for adoption now.
