MORE INFORMATION ON LEONARDO
Sweet little Leonardo was being given up by his hunter and thankfully one of our wonderful partner kennels stepped in to offer him a spot with them. He is soon to be arriving in the UK into a foster home where we can get more of a sense of how he does in a home, before finding a perfect adopter for him.
He’s a really sweet little chap who is smaller than his photos make him look! He is great with other dogs and at the rescue where he is at, he also gets exposure to pigs, goats and horses along with dogs of all different sizes and breeds. He’s a curious and playful little chap, who doesn’t take too long to build his confidence and approach you for some fuss. In a home, we expect he would welcome cuddles very quickly! Leonardo is a good all rounder, he could live as an only dog, or with other canine companions. We also think he could be flexible in terms of location, although in a busy city an adopter would need to be patient and help him adjust. We think Leonardo could be a good candidate for a children 8+. He walks nicely on the lead too.
Leonardo is neutered, vaccinated and tested negative for all Mediterranean diseases excluding Babesia - as already stated he has tested positive and is receiving treatment for this, so we can retest for the all clear. He is passported and available for adoption now.
