MORE INFORMATION ON JILL

Jill is a gorgeous young Podenco puppy who was found straying with no chip. Luckily, she came across some of our wonderful Spanish partners who were able to get her to safety. She is now in foster in Spain where she is learning all about living in a home. She’s already quite a big girl and although we can’t guarantee final size, we do expect her to be on the larger side. It means she’s already testing out counter surfing and got lucky one time with a big bowl of crisps (see photo!). She’s a confident, curious girl who takes everything in her stride and charms all that she meets. She’s a great allrounder and could live in a variety of homes. She met a feral cat colony and did well around them so we are classing her as cat workable.

Podenco puppies/adolescents are very cute, but they need consistent training, patience and understanding especially through the adolescent phase where we find a lot of people tend to struggle. If you apply to adopt a podenco puppy, please ensure you have properly thought through the challenges you might face whilst they mature into a wonderful adult where you can then reap the rewards of your hard work. It is a wonderful experience to bring up a pod puppy, but it is not for the faint hearted!

Jill will be vaccinated and tested for all Mediterranean diseases. She will be passported and is available for adoption now (for the UK she can travel at 6 months old for EU she can travel at 4 months old). She will also require neutering at the appropriate age.
