MORE INFORMATION ON FORREST
Forrest was rescued on Fuerteventura, we assume after spending many years as a hunting dog. The rescue on Fuerteventura are winding things down, so one of our partner rescues reached out to us to see if we could help get him to the mainland and into foster so that we could start prepping him for adoption.
Forrest is a really lovely natured dog - he is a little shy at first with new people and situations but once he comes round he is a true delight! Mild mannered, very tolerant, friendly, loveable, playful and still with a real zest for life. As is true of many podencos at this age he isn’t showing many signs of slowing down and will still love an engaging and active lifestyle, but also love snuggles on the sofa and long snoozes in between. He is really good with other dogs, but could also happily live as an only dog. He’s a good allrounder who could happily live in many environments. A really busy city might be a little overwhelming at first, but with another dog to take the lead from, we think he could master a busy urban environment. We also think he would be a lovely family dog, due to his well balanced nature.
Forrest is neutered, vaccinated and tested negative for all Mediterranean diseases. He is passported and available for adoption now.
