MORE INFORMATION ON FOLEY
Foley was born at a shelter after his mother was rescued days before giving birth. His mother was extremely undernourished which meant there wasn’t enough room in the womb for Foley and his brother. This meant that they were both born with defects in the back legs, but thankfully Foley is happy and pain-free. He is now with one of our super fosters, living in a home with 30+ other dogs so he gets experience of home life and all the things that come with it!
He is friendly towards new people but can be a little shy initially like so many podencos, but soon warms up. He walks nicely on the lead as you can see from the video which was his first time out walking on a harness. He loves to play and has lots of friends to play with at the foster home but he can be a little boisterous at times and loves to chase other dogs so would suit a home with evenly matched dogs who also love a bit of rough and tumble! He could also be an only dog. He’s not suitable for cats as he likes to chase them too! He could live with older children and outside of that he doesn’t have too many requirements as he’s a very versatile boy!
Foley will be neutered, is vaccinated and tested negative for all Mediterranean diseases excluding Leish - as already stated he has previously tested positive, but with treatment is now presenting as negative. The birth defect in his back legs that causes him to sit a little differently, but does not cause him any pain or prevent him living a happy and active life. He is passported and available for adoption now.
