MORE INFORMATION ON ENZO

Enzo was no longer wanted when it became clear that he was deaf, so one of our partner kennels in Spain took him on and found him a foster home where he is currently living and getting used to life in a home environment. He is living with other dogs and cats and gets on great. He’s very playful, as you’d expect a puppy to be, and has lots of cheeky moments. Being deaf doesn’t stop him being happy and confident but of course he will need to learn with visual rather than verbal cues so any adopter should bear that in mind.

Its hard to say what size Enzo will be when he is an adult as we haven’t seen mum or dad, but at 2 months old, he is around 4kg.

Podenco puppies/adolescents are very cute, but they need consistent training, patience and understanding especially through the adolescent phase where we find a lot of people tend to struggle. If you apply to adopt a podenco puppy, please ensure you have properly thought through the challenges you might face whilst they mature into a wonderful adult where you can then reap the rewards of your hard work. It is a wonderful experience to bring up a pod puppy, but it is not for the faint hearted!

Enzo will be vaccinated and tested for all Mediterranean diseases. He is passported and available for adoption now (for the UK he can travel at 6 months old for EU he can travel at 4 months old). He will also require neutering at the appropriate age.
