Hope For Podencos est une association caritative enregistrée, mais nous sommes bien plus que cela. Nous sommes une communauté bâtie par ceux qui travaillent dans le même but. Notre mission est de sauver, de réhabiliter, de replacer, de sensibiliser et d'apporter un soutien aux Podencos de toutes formes et de toutes tailles. Nous y parvenons grâce à notre vaste réseau et à notre équipe dévouée.
Ils ne seront plus "les grands oubliés" car nous sommes leur voix.

He needs to be in his new placement by 11th July 2026.

“Babu is a lovely boy who shows real loyalty and affection once he gets to know you.
In the home he settles very quickly and enjoys being close to his people. His favourite place for sleeping and downtime is his crate, where he happily watches the world go by.
He can be a little unsure at times, but with consistency and a calm approach he really thrives and settles into a routine.
Babu loves being fussed, especially around his neck and ears, and will often come and gently rest his head in your lap just to be close.
On a day-to-day basis he is wonderful company and really just wants to feel safe, loved and part of the home.”
Jimbo est un podenco aveugle qui s'est remarquablement bien adapté à la perte de sa vue ; il est actuellement en famille d'accueil au Royaume-Uni et cherche un foyer ici.

Jimbo needs a calm home with a routine where his humans can remember that change is a big thing for him.
He needs another dog as he gets a lot of his confidence from them and loves to play and cuddle up to them.
He does always need to be on a lead when out on walks and needs guidance from his human for curbs and roads.

Jimbo is a brave little lad and curious to boot!
He has a huge character and is incredibly smart - he has learned to sit, lie down, paw.
He is so affectionate with humans and loves his walks - he has even taken to a doggy back pack when needed!

Cati LOVES being outside and walks beautifully on the lead.
She has her favourite spot on the sofa where she can relax, and whilst she doesn’t necessarily approach for a fuss is happy to have you sit next to her to and give her some affection.

Rencontrez nos fondateurs.
Irene et Steve Allan ont plus de 30 ans d'expérience avec les chiens, Irene dans le domaine de l'exposition et tous deux en tant que toiletteurs. Ils ont quitté l'Écosse pour s'installer en Espagne en 2009 et ont donné de leur temps pour toiletter des chiens de sauvetage dans les refuges dans l'espoir de les rendre plus adoptables . C'est ainsi qu'ils ont découvert le sort du Podenco. Ils ont créé la fondation "Hope For Podencos" en 2014, en se concentrant sur cette race particulière qui avait tant besoin de leur soutien.
Les podencos sont de toutes les formes et de toutes les tailles.
Nous comprenons que tout le monde n'est pas en mesure d'adopter un Podenco, mais il y a encore beaucoup de façons d'aider. Suivez-nous sur les réseaux sociaux et PARTAGEZ nos magnifiques pods, vous n'avez pas idée du pouvoir d'un like, d'un commentaire ou d'un partage - il suffit qu'une seule personne voie ce post pour qu'un chien trouve son foyer pour la vie.
