Jet is a stunning black podenco with a unique, striking look that is sure to turn heads!

Jet was found alone on an industrial estate, thirsty, hungry and with nobody caring for him. A kind family rescued him, took him home, bathed and fed him, and made him feel safe. Although he behaved beautifully with them, they were unable to keep him.

To prevent Jet from being sent to the dog pound, our foster carer Rosy stepped in to help. Jet can be a little shy at first, particularly around men, but he soon settles. During a four-hour visit to a pet shop, he was very well behaved and happily accepted attention from men, women and children.

He is comfortable around cats, although he may chase if one runs. Jet is very loving and could be happy as an only dog, provided he receives plenty of attention. He walks well on the lead without pulling, travels well and enjoys trips in the car.

Jet needs a patient, understanding adopter who will give him time to settle, build his confidence and offer plenty of love and attention. A reassuring home where he feels safe and included will help him thrive, with regular walks, companionship and the chance to enjoy trips out in the car.

Podenco-Welpen und -Junghunde sind zwar sehr niedlich, erfordern aber konsequentes Training, Geduld und Verständnis – insbesondere in der Jugendphase, in der viele Menschen oft Schwierigkeiten haben. Wenn Sie sich um die Adoption eines Podenco-Welpen bewerben, sollten Sie sich bitte gründlich überlegen, welche Herausforderungen auf Sie zukommen könnten, bis sich der Welpe zu einem wunderbaren erwachsenen Hund entwickelt, bei dem Sie dann die Früchte Ihrer harten Arbeit ernten können. Einen Podenco-Welpen großzuziehen ist eine wunderbare Erfahrung, aber nichts für schwache Nerven!

Jet will be vaccinated and tested for all Mediterranean diseases. He is passported and available for adoption now. He will also require neutering at the appropriate age.
