MORE INFORMATION ON RORY

Pan was adopted to the UK earlier this year and depite the love and support of his adopter he has struggled to settle into city life along with being an only dog. He is therefore looking for a new home, with a doggy companion in a less urban location.

Pan is a gentle, sensitive boy. He is affectionate with the people he knows and wonderfully social with other dogs, but he struggles with strangers and needs a quiet, predictable home where he can feel safe. Pan must live with a confident, playful resident dog who can support him emotionally and help him navigate the world. He thrives in calm, adult‑only homes, ideally a couple, and responds especially well to a female presence. A semi‑rural or coastal setting suits him best, with quiet walking routes and no busy roads, and a garden would be a real positive for his wellbeing.

Pan is patient, sweet and flight‑mode rather than fight‑mode. He never barks, doesn’t pull on the lead, and isn’t reactive to dogs or traffic, but he is very anxious around unfamiliar people and becomes worried if someone walks behind him. He is toilet trained and can be left for up to four hours, although this will need to be built up as he moves into a new home.

Pan loves forests, quiet rural walks, and he is a brilliant running companion who could excel at canicross. He travels well in the car. Food can be a trigger for him; he is not food‑motivated, and needs calm mealtimes with his person present.

Pan is an anxious adolescent who needs adopters willing to offer patience, stability and gentle encouragement. In the right environment: quiet, structured, with a confident dog and few visitors, he will continue to grow in confidence and become a loving, loyal companion.

Pan is vaccinated and tested negative for all Mediterranean diseases. He is passported and available for adoption now and will require neutering at the appropriate age.
