Hope For Podencos es una organización benéfica registrada, pero somos más que eso. Somos una comunidad formada por personas que trabajan por el mismo objetivo. Nuestra misión es rescatar, rehabilitar, realojar, concienciar y apoyar a podencos de todas las formas y tamaños. Lo hacemos a través de nuestra extensa red y de un equipo dedicado.
Ya no serán "los grandes olvidados", pues nosotros somos su voz.

Babu needs an adult only home in a quite environment with a garden, he can live as an only dog or with another well balnaced dog.
He needs to be in his new placement by 11th July 2026.

“Babu is a lovely boy who shows real loyalty and affection once he gets to know you.
In the home he settles very quickly and enjoys being close to his people. His favourite place for sleeping and downtime is his crate, where he happily watches the world go by.
He can be a little unsure at times, but with consistency and a calm approach he really thrives and settles into a routine.
Babu loves being fussed, especially around his neck and ears, and will often come and gently rest his head in your lap just to be close.
On a day-to-day basis he is wonderful company and really just wants to feel safe, loved and part of the home.”
Jimbo is a blind Podenco and has adapted to losing his sight incredibly well - he is in foster in the UK and looking for a home here.

Jimbo needs a calm home with a routine where his humans can remember that change is a big thing for him.
He needs another dog as he gets a lot of his confidence from them and loves to play and cuddle up to them.
He does always need to be on a lead when out on walks and needs guidance from his human for curbs and roads.

Jimbo is a brave little lad and curious to boot!
He has a huge character and is incredibly smart - he has learned to sit, lie down, paw.
He is so affectionate with humans and loves his walks - he has even taken to a doggy back pack when needed!

Cati LOVES being outside and walks beautifully on the lead.
She has her favourite spot on the sofa where she can relax, and whilst she doesn’t necessarily approach for a fuss is happy to have you sit next to her to and give her some affection.

Conozca a nuestros fundadores.
Irene y Steve Allan tienen más de 30 años de experiencia con perros, Irene en el ámbito de la exposición y ambos como peluqueros. Se mudaron de Escocia a España en 2009 y donaron su tiempo a la peluquería de perros rescatados en los refugios con la esperanza de que esto los haría más adoptables, así es como descubrieron la difícil situación del Podenco. En 2014 crearon la fundación "Esperanza para los Podencos", centrada en esta raza en particular que tanto necesitaba su apoyo.
Hay podencos de todas las formas y tamaños.
Entendemos que no todo el mundo está en condiciones de adoptar un Podenco, pero todavía hay muchas maneras de ayudar.
