MORE INFORMATION ON FOXY
Foxy had a really rough start to life, living with a hunter, along with Spud and a number of other dogs she was stuck in a dirty cage, hardly fed from week to week, dehydrated, full of worms and covered in mange. She was just 3.5kg when she arrived and very weak.
Thankfully once Foxy was rescued she soon bounced back - she was treated for worms and mange and has made a full recovery. She’s now a really, happy and playful podenco who loves dogs and humans alike. She is quite a confident little thing who really loves to seek comfort - she loves to sit on your lap and come for a cuddle. She’s also grown considerably since she was rescued and now weighs 10kg. We expect her to be medium sized when fully grown. She does still eat her meals like she has never seen food before, a likely consequence of having restricted food so early on. If she was homed with another dog she would need to be fed separately so as not to cause any additional anxiety. It may also be the case that she would be quite excitable around human food but we can help with any management thats needed there. Foxy also loves playing and really enjoys toys - she is so sweet to watch when she’s really enjoying herself.
Foxy is a great allrounder and could live in many different homes - she doesn’t have any specific needs other than a family that will love, cherish and comfort her.
Foxy will be neutered and is vaccinated and has tested negative for all Mediterranean diseases. She is passported and available for adoption now.
