MORE INFORMATION ON PHOENIX
Phoenix was picked up from the streets in an awful state, emaciated, weak and in need of urgent help. One of our partners was trying to catch him but he ended up in a perrera, which they then had to get him out of. Due to his condition the original association and us were keen to get him to a foster so he could recover and be fully assessed in a more comfortable environment. Initially there were concerns that he might be deaf and blind, but now he is in the care of our foster the vet has advised whilst he does have some sensitivity to light he is absolutely fine!
Phoenix is an absolute delight, he gets on great with all the other dogs in the home - of which there are many of all different types, sizes and ages, and has adapted to life in a home as if he’s never not been there! You can see form the video below he loves his ball and does love having outside space so a garden is a must. He is food motivated and has done really well on his special diet gaining the weight he was so desperately lacking.
He does well with people of all ages and gets exposure to young children in the home, he is fine around the cats, he is just a great all rounder with a wonderful nature. We think he would suit most environments as he is a confident chap, he does get a little time out on walks on a lead and harness and trips to the vets in the car and he is progressing well learning all these new experiences.
Phoenix will be neutered and is vaccinated and tested negative for all Mediterranean diseases. He is passported and available for adoption now.
