MORE INFORMATION ON LOKI
Gorgeous podenco ibicenco Loki was rescued from a hunter and was originally living with all sorts of different breeds of dogs before making his way to one of our fosters.
He has really blossomed in the few weeks he’s been in foster and has made a beautiful connection with his foster dad. He loves his walks and enjoys being out and about although will need continued training on the lead. He also loves his sleep equally and can be a real couch potato - he definitely has a brilliant off switch! He’s not a huge foodie but does need to put a little bit of weight on, which we’re sure will come in time. At the moment he’s not overly playful with the other dogs although we expect that will come in time. He’d much rather have prime spot snuggled up next to the humans on the sofa! He is good with other dogs, although is better with females or very well balanced males. He is also a wonderful candidate for being an only dog as he is so people focused. He’s a confident boy that really loves everyone he meets straight away. Great travelling in the car and he is clean in the home. A brilliant allrounder that could slot easily into many situations. He did have an encounter with the cat at the vet, and was quite interested but not in an agressive way. For very dog savvy cats, and patient owners who will put the work into training, we think he could successfully live with cats, but certainly not if they are flighty as he will want to chase.
Loki is neutered, vaccinated and tested negative for all Mediterranean diseases. He is passported and available for adoption now.
