MORE INFORMATION ON HEIDI

Heidi is in foster in Spain after being picked up from the side of the road at such a young age, she was lucky to be found and rescued.

Heidi is a typical happy, go lucky pup. Se lives with all different dog types - age, sex, breed and gets on well with them, that being said we think she could also live as an only dog in a home where her needs are being met. Se has access to different people that come into the home of all ages - including young children and we think she would suit a busy family as she loves all people.

She does well with the other dogs - particularly Tilly another young female and resident who she plays with constantly. She also likes to share her bed with the cats, although she has access to outside space she does not need a garden as long as she has access to green spaces for regular walks.

Podenco puppies are very cute, but they need consistent training, patience and understanding especially through the adolescent phase where we find a lot of people tend to struggle. If you apply to adopt a podenco puppy, please ensure you have properly thought through the challenges you might face whilst they mature into a wonderful adult where you can then reap the rewards of your hard work. It is a wonderful experience to bring up a pod puppy, but it is not for the faint hearted!

Heidi is vaccinated and will be tested for all Mediterranean diseases. She is passported and available for adoption now and will require neutering at the appropriate age.
