Dante is an incredibly friendly, affectionate boy who absolutely adores people — he’s a champion cuddler and loves giving out hugs and kisses. With other dogs he’s happy, playful and easy‑going, and he walks beautifully on the lead. He’s a real people‑pleaser who just wants to be loved.

He spent several years in the care of one of our partner shelters after being taken in when he was at risk of ending up in a kill shelter. Like many podencos, we don’t know much about his early life, but it’s likely he was abandoned simply for not being a successful hunting dog.

Dante was adopted earlier this year, however he is now looking for a new start. He’s a sensitive, loving soul who thrives on human connection, and he truly deserves a home where he can feel safe, understood and cherished. He could live happily as an only dog or alongside other dogs, but he would be best suited to an adult‑only home where life is calm and predictable. He cannot live with cats.

Dante is wonderfully adaptable and has so much love to give — he just needs the right environment and the right people to help him shine.

Dante is neutered, vaccinated and tested negative for all Mediterranean diseases. He is passported and available for adoption now.
