MORE INFORMATION ON NAVIDAD

Navidad had sadly found her way to a Pererra and was quite overwhelmed and scared there. We don’t know her history before she arrived there but assume she was either taken there by her hunter or was found straying and taken there. One of our wonderful fosters got her out and she is now living in a home with him and 30+ other podencos!

When we visited Spain, Navidad had just arrived that day from the Pererra - understandably it was a little overwhelming for her, so she sat quietly in a crate watching all the other dogs mingling. We were able to sit by her in the crate and give her a stroke and fuss - she was super gentle and although not seeking attention, was happy to receive it. Since then she has continued to blossom in foster - she’s still not overly confident but we think that will come in time. She is happy for affection and isn’t too worried by anything in particular. She enjoys her walks and will happily trot along beside you. She gets on well with the other dogs and happily slots in, keeping herself out of any trouble! She would be good with other dogs in the home, but could also live as an only dog but might take a little longer as an only dog to fully come out of her shell - for a patient owner this will come in time and she will reward you by relaxing and showing her full personality. We think she could live in most environments and doesn’t necessarily need a garden, but may not be suited to an extremely busy city centre. Outskirts of cities where its a little less intense would probably be OK. Other than that, she doesn’t have any specific requirements - just a loving home where she can relax and flourish.

Navidad is neutered, vaccinated and tested negative for all Mediterranean diseases excluding Babesia - as already stated she has tested positive and is receiving treatment for this for the all clear. she is passported and available for adoption now.
