MORE INFORMATION ON MAEVE
Maeve was found in a perrera in Málaga when our team visited earlier this year. Two weeks later, we were able to safely bring her and her companion, Monet, out of the perrera. One of our wonderful fosters kindly welcomed them both, giving Maeve the first real stability she’s had in a long time.
Maeve is a very shy, sensitive girl who has relied heavily on Monet for confidence. Now that Monet has found his forever home, we’re hoping it’s finally Maeve’s turn to shine. Maeve is a gentle, thoughtful Podenca who thrives with calm reassurance. She enjoys her walks and is slowly discovering the world at her own pace — sometimes she needs a little encouragement to get going, but once she’s out, she relaxes and enjoys herself. She has adapted well to everyday traffic noise and is being gently introduced to new experiences, taking steady, positive steps forward.
Maeve will flourish in a quiet, rural or semi-rural home. A calm predictable routine with adopters who understand sensitve dogs. A family prepared to support her confidence-building and continue her gentle exposure to new things. A home with another friendly, steady dog would also help her to feel secure.
During her foster stay Maeve unfortunately broke her leg in a freak accident, but the break has healed beautifully and no further treatment is required.
Maeve is neutered, vaccinated and tested negative for all Mediterranean diseases. She is passported and available for adoption now.
